Back in January we announced our awesome new project in collaboration with the legendary Herald Motorcycles where we’re taking to the tools and creating a very special VC X Herald custom 125 Scrambler!

Since then we’ve been working away - taking bits off, researching and messing around and we’re here to give you a first little update on what we’re thinking so far and what’s in the pipeline in the coming weeks - including the first of our instagram stories votes that you can get involved with to decide on how the final bike turns out!

SO WHERE TO START?

So we started where all good projects start…. We cracked open a beer (no this wasn’t during lockdown innit) and decided to start up front, stripping off bits we wanted to do away with or start to change up - (labelling and bagging everything accordingly we promise) and making a plan of the parts we wanted to change and offer up for public vote!

First up, the mirrors……

In the Scramblers defence all stock bikes come with larger than life mirrors but we’ve searched around for a while and found a set of some sick chrome custom mirrors that we’ve bought from Lowbrow Customs in the US. These will work a treat as they’re smaller in size, adjustable (so they can slide up or down the bar mount to make higher or lower depending on the rider) and they have a little more of a vintage mirror feel than the black ones.

Next up!

We’ve got our first vote coming on Monday March the 15th over on the VC Instagram stories where we’ll be throwing it over to the VC community to vote on the bars and grips that we’ll be using!

Simply jump over to our insta stories where we’ll be showing you our ideas and little mock ups and you’ll get to make the decision what colour grips we go for and making the first choice between brushed silver bars or some swishy matt black bars. Swit Swooooooooooo!

In the spirit of staying up at the front end for now we’re working on the clocks and headlight next , and mannnn have we got a pretty speedo and tacho in the works!
